Quick report
Abundant sunshine and warm temps had moistened the snowpack surface on slopes receiving full sun up to at least 8500'. Water was trickling down the rocks up there. This led to several wet loose avalanches that ran until some high clouds moved in around 1300 at which point the snowpack surface began to lock up again and ended the activity. Shady aspects remained cold and snowpack surfaces basically consist of facets and surface hoar. Cut a lot of wind slab today and these were unreactive. We watched multiple wet loose avalanches run on the S face of Mt Edwards and SE face Gunsight Mtn, D1-D2. Activity began around 1100 but ended around 1300 when some high clouds moved in overhead and reduced the solar input.

Strong temp inversion with valley fog up to about 5000' and clear above that until about 1300. Winds were mostly calm to light from the SW until up at 8000' and above where they strengthened to moderate speeds.
