- <p>Basal facets spotty in Meadows, certainly aspect dependent but where present definitely worth avoiding the risk. Dug a quick pit on top of football field, took quite a bit of energy to break on the facet interface at the bottom of the pack, but once it received enough energy (ECTP-28) there was clear failure on the basal facets and the entire column propagated. Total snow depth varied by aspect and slight shifts were present. Depth at pit was about 100cm just below the ridge crest, ENE 9600ft. Still kept it mellow and didnt stick my neck out on consequential terrain today. </p>
