Quick report
Arctic cold and strong winds gave us a storm total of 9" w/ .45" SWE and an upside down snow pack. Lots of cracking and collapsing today. Slope angle played a key role in the reactivity of storm slabs today being either reactive or stubborn. E aspects NTL are holding some NSF on a MFC producing shallow yet impressive propagation crossing terrain features.
Snowpack
Exposed W aspects were scoured up high. Slabs developed mid to lower on the slope and were reactive on terrain > 37 deg. Lot's of collapses and cracking on lower angle terrain trending more towards stubborn. There was an obvious upside down feel on W aspects from the overnight winds. S aspects lacked any slab and skiing improved greatly. E filled in nicely with storm slabs 6-8" thick.

Storm slabs were the primary problem today. Several SS on W aspects NTL/BTL 8-16" deep. E aspects storm slabs 6-8" thick failed on NSF on the MFC with propagation up to 200' and was able to jump terrain features across the top of EBM.
