Overcast day with light S winds at lower elevations and moderate S winds near the peak. Some light blowing snow at ridgelines and open areas. Light snowfall started around 10:45am at peak, but no precipitation below 7000'. Lower elevations warming by early afternoon, snow was melting off trees at the snopark by 11:15.

Snowpack

We got 8cm of new snow overnight that on Southern aspects is sitting directly on a melt freeze crust and on Northern aspects is sitting on top of 10cm of settling storm snow. I saw some previous and some current blowing snow and observed some wind drifts 14-22cm. At mid and upper elevations, I did not find any hard wind slabs, which doesn't mean they aren't out there, but in general the winds do not seem to be heavily impacting the new snow. At lower elevations afternoon warming was leading to warmer/heavier snow and signs of melting and "tree bombs."

Northern aspects with the combo of new and old storm snow skied well, whereas Southern aspects were more of dust on crust with some unpleasant scoured, crusty areas.
