With a late start, we made a short recon tour up onto the terminal moraine at Rae-Wallace Bowl. 13F and light winds. Snow surface severely affected by recent windstorms with significant scouring, sastrugi and supportable to breakable crusts. Snow depth on this short tour varied from 0 - 12". These conditions are omni-present. Almost bullet hard crusts with sometimes breakable with exposed rocks made for challenging travel conditions.
