Quick report
Other than the natural D-1 avalanche, I Saw a frozen supportable snowpack that had started to soften quickly by noon on solar aspects kept somewhat cooler in places from moderate North winds. Some wind effect on the surface of northern exposed aspects of Lone Tree. Saw some very small solar induced D-1- point releases near Rocky outcrops on ESE aspect at the top of Poison Bowl, and some small natural N-R1-D-1.5 avalanches on steep portions of the (39-40+ degrees) NE facing aspect of Lone tree. The snow surface was very saturated 2-3 inches down may have been kept calmer from cool northern, moderate winds.

R1-D-1.5 Natural, soft slab avalanches that occurred sometime this past weekend toward the end of the storm on Graupel and buried surface hoar. Test pit result near crown showed a crown depth of 15-20cm or 8” and a lack of propagation on failures below the weak layer:ECTN 17&30.
