Quick report
Rain to snow at 3800ft Snow texture was fairly dry starting at 6k. Wind effect and crust at the same elevation. Non reactive wind crusts present above 6k outside the trees. Top layer of snow cracked when cutting skin track. Storm snow can slide between two ski cuts but didn’t react to single skier jump tests on steep convexities.
Avalanche
South facing steep slope under pan point had a couple small slab crowns (see pics) Lower elevation (around rain snow line at 3800ft) some S facing slopes had some loose wet evidence this morning (~9am). Rollerballs and point release tree bombs.
