We had loud rumbling collapses along the ridgeline we skied up. It was snowing on and off throughout the day with strong winds that erased our skin track and nearly filled our snowmobile tracks.

Visibility fluctuated all day from obscured and snowing to brief moments of clear skies. We had strong to moderate winds out of the west.
Snowpack
This sputtering storm and warm temperatures left us an array of new snow and crust combos in the upper portion of the snowpack. There was 5-10cm of new snow on top of the temperature crust that formed during yesterday's break in the storm. Todays storm brought 3cm of drier snow to this moist upper snowpack.
We dug quick pits on an east aspect at 8400', northeast aspect at 8500', and a north aspect at 8900'. In our east pit, we had results of ECTN12,13,14 on different crust layers in the top 20cm, and our north pit produced ECTN11 40cm down.
