Quick report
Warm, skinned up g spot in a tshirt at 10am. Broken skies but mostly sunny, any direct sunlight caused trees to shed snow instantly. Light to south winds with minor transport along the normal approach ridgeline kept snow surfaces cool enough for decent skiing in the late morning, but I imagine it’ll be a different story in the days ahead. Recent snow ~6-8” above 5000ft, and seemed well bonded with the crust beneath. Any sheltered terrain held cool dry snow. Skied mainly E aspects <35° and conditions were surprisingly good and there is solid coverage to the bottom, snow was really sloppy/slushy for the last 300ft or so. No major rollerballs or wet slide activity by the time I exited around 1230pm, but did notice the small wet slides along the highway on the drive out.
