Quick report
Saw no natural avalanches or other signs of instability. We did find wind slabs and crust on nearly every aspect at all elevations, although it was quite variable. We made a few good turns and the trail down was the most skiable I've ever seen, with a deep snowpack at low elevation, but ski quality was moderate to poor. Did not dig a pit. We crossed a narrow avalanche gully one at a time and saw no signs of instability, because the wind slab appeared to be quite cohesive. Will try to find better snow today! Temp was -4 degrees F at the trailhead but probably +20 F at the summit in the afternoon. Really no wind all day except at the summit.
