Clear creek Southern wallowas

After a phone call with a party member, the information in italics is the original reported information.  The group was riding above the Clear Creek cabin, on an east-facing slope, when a cornice failed and triggered a Wind Slab.  Before this release, the group hadn't observed any signs of instability.  Talking with the reporting member, he did say the snow was more wind-packed at the location where the avalanche failed.  The avalanche was about 100' across, and traveled downhill 100', with a crown depth of 1' in most areas.  The slide caught and carried one member of the party, and threw him from his sled, but he was uninjured.  This is really useful information for not only the avalanche center but also members of the community and we are incredibly thankful for the rider sharing this information.
