Quick report
Today was wintry in upper Little Cottonwood, with observed new snow totals in the neighborhood of one foot. Winds varied, but seemed to increase with time and elevation. Though no avalanches, cracking, or collapsing were observed, two snowpits on E and N (attached) revealed a relatively poorly structured snowpack. For the moment, however, the snowpack consists of mostly relatively weak snow - be it facets or powder, and remains somewhat unreactive.
