Large cornices and natural avalanches on the south ridge of Mt. Magog
Snowpack
- Instability Comment
-
There was evidence of a few recent natural cornice fall and wind slab avalanches off the South Ridge of Mt. Magog

Still finding poor snow structure, with well developed buried facets, and snowpit tests continue to indicate slab propagation. Dangerous avalanches are unlikely but possible on steep slopes with shallow, weak snow.
