- <p>Recent wet loose slides and rollerballs/pinwheels are pictured below. Many triggered by tree bombs and our movement. I poked around on the way up and around 8k there was around a meter of snow. I dug a quick pit at the top of our ski in the burn and just off the ridge there was 150cm of snow. Rightside up down to 45 cm from the ground. Pencil hard slab jumping to 4f hard weak snow. A persistent weak layer can be observed but did not react to compression. Facets could be snowballed and are rounding and sintering. Moose poop noted in layer of concern. These grains seem to be resistant to change from vapor transport as well as melt freeze metamorphism. </p>

Pictured below here is the extended column which was resistant to compression but released on the pwl with a gentle pry after ectx. Poor structure still present in this specific location.

Snowpack
As predicted, intermittent sun and greenhousing warmed every aspect below 8k. Throughout the morning as the snow warmed up, moving from damp to dry snow offered drastic glomping on the skins. Hot pow was served on the north facing descent.
