Northern aspects at upper elevations had small reactive wind slabs. This new snow problem was sitting on top of a very stout and supportable rain crust. This rain crust was bridging any instabilities below it. Observed a very large natural avalanche that failed naturally during last weeks warming cycle.

Last weeks intense warm up changed the snowpack and multiple wet slab/glide avalanches were reported in the St. Regis/ Silver Valley between 1/30-2/1
