We triggered a large wumpf on the South Ridge of Steam Mill 3 at approximately 9k ft on a SE aspect. Shallow buried rocks was likely the culprit in making the PWL more reactive in this specific location.
We had a lot of new snow sluffs which was expected. Snow was dry and pleasant up high, noticeably denser as we skied down to Franklin Basin Rd.
