Grizzly bear tracks on road continuing all the way up past strawberry lake trail. Also managed to run into a carcass making our way up into spider so this bear is a resident folks! Multiple glide cracks throught the Swan range, some are pretty big. Audible popping from every step on solar aspects so a rotten layer close to the surface is likely on those aspects. No propagation though after jumping multiple times on a 35-40° slope. NW-N-NE facing shaded aspects still holding good snow. Road is driveable just past the gate but be prepared to dig to get back out.
