Quick report

Red Flags
Wind Loading, Cracking, Collapsing, Poor Snowpack Structure

Sky transitioned from overcast to few as the day progressed. HN 5cm @8200'. HN 7cm @9000'+. New snow was a mix of PPsd and PPgp. Found evidence of the RR process @9000' SW, but there were no facets immediately above or below the thin crust. A pit @9000' W produced CTV, CT2 (SC), CT3 (SC), and ECTN11 all 37cm down on 2mm facets. I triggered a large, booming collapse @9413' W just pass the knob that seemed to propogate 100' down to the trees below. I experienced less collapsing today than past tours, but the collapses and cracks seemed to be larger and propogate further than before. Upon gaining the PC ridgeline I found small sastrugi and wind crusts as well as a rime coating on trees from the W.
