Cracking
widespread

6-10" HN at mid and upper elevations. Significant wind loading throughout the day - especially at upper elevations. Widespread cracking. Widespread graupel on snow surfaces. Widespread cracking in the new snow was observed at upper and mid elevations. Numerous up to D1 skier triggered avalanches observed with crown depths ranging from 6">18". Avalanches were mostly slow moving and isolated to wind loaded features and steep terrain.

Snowfall rates diminished through the morning. Strong WSW winds. 30's gusting 50 at the summit. Temps 20's at the summit and up to 37 at the base.

Snowpack

Reported 9" of new snow. Observed a wide range of 4" in spots to wind loaded areas of 2' of new snow. Poor bonding observed to the old snow surfaces in steep terrain. Widespread graupel on snow surface at all elevations.

South of the resort we had multiple D.5>D1 skier triggered avalanches. All above 8000'. SE-E-NE aspects. Crown depths ranging from 6"-12". 30-50' wide propagation. All in steep and/or wind loaded terrain. Triggers varied from 1st to 3rd skier with some areas being touchy while others were more stubborn. 1 report of a N avalanche in Green River SE aspect 9000'. Pulling out underneath a majority of the SE facing cliffbands.
