Went on a tour with Graber today in PF. East facing got hot quickly, by probably 11:00am, major roller balls/pinwheels forming.. Found wet snow/ ice grains at the ground! Psyched. Crust was thin where I dug, but thats not the case everywhere.. and the CERC (Christmas Eve Rain Crust) was not really supportive, at least in my pit, pencil hard.
Snow is right side up!!
Had one failure on CT23 about 15-20cm down that I think was just settled storm snow. No clean shear.
ECTX.
This is my first ever snowpilot I'd like to think I crushed it.
Great skiing! I'm encouraged about stability at and below treeline, for now at least :)
