Snowpack
Below treeline, the snowpack is still mostly very shallow in this area. Winds built thin, discontinuous slabs over the facets on east aspects above ~ 10,700'. Near treeline, the upper snowpack consists of hard and soft wind slabs with some imbedded and reactive weak layers. The mid-pack is faceted and the lower snowpack is composed of large depth hoar.
