Quick report
Rec day at Gash Knob. It was a beautiful day with some great powder skiing. We observed one recent small natural wind slab on an upper elevation northeast aspect near ridgeline. Sunny aspects warmed up again in the sun and warm daytime temperatures. I was able to intentionally trigger a small wet loose avalanche on an upper elevation southeast aspect, but it required some pushing. A steeper slope would have been more sensitive. South winds increased to moderate in the afternoon and drifted small amounts of snow. Crusts on south aspects limited the snow available for transport.
