Quick report
The strong NE wind and clouds seemed to be keeping Wet Loose avalanches at bay near and above the treeline during my time in the field. The wind was strong and transporting any snow available near and above treeline from North and East aspects onto leeward aspects. Many ridgelines I traveled on where wind swept and there were large drifts across the road into Fish Lake. I did not see any new avalanches.

Moderate to Strong Northeast wind at treeline and above. Temperatures around 32 degrees. A couple of brief periods of light snowfall. Scattered to Broken clouds decreasing in the afternoon.
Snowpack
I dug a snowpit on a North aspect at 6900' near Melhorn Reservoir. The upper 3-4 inches consisted mostly of 3-4 mm Graupel. There was 48 cm/19 inches of snow that sat above a 3-4" melt freeze crust that started getting buried on 3/22. The middle of the snowpack is strong with mostly 1F to P+ snow, however a thin layer of graupel was found 105 cm/41 inches from the surface. Snowpack tests showed no propagation in an ECT, but a sudden collapse in a Compression Test in the 3/22 Melt Freeze Crust.
