Snowmobiler was climbing the slope and was at the apex of the climb starting his turn back down hill when he saw the fracture open up. He got pointed downhill and hit the throttle hard. He was able to keep control on top of the debris the entire time and ran off of the debris near the bottom of the slope before the avalanche came to a stop. He related he experienced a hard impact when he hit the staunchwall as it was buckling.
