Quick report
A quick tour from Hermit Lake found 2-6 inches of new, low density snow from new accumulation and wind transport. I traveled as far as the dogleg in Hillman's Highway, but opted out of going further because of poor visibility. Snow was actively being moved from ridgelines but I was unable to see any start zones. Wind speeds were moderate with strong gusts and ideal for wind loading. My boot pen was over the top of my boot in wind-protected areas and my foot prints were being quickly filled with wind driven snow. Actual snow fall was hard to estimate but likely less than 1 cm an hour (S-1) while I was in the field. Blue skies were breaking through but for most of the time, the sky and views, were obscured.
