Two Lakes Valley

Skinned up Goldmint trail to entrance of Two-Lakes Valley and crossed river after locating a suitable snow bridge. As we traveled uphill, we encountered a variable breakable crust and alder challenges which flashed "not much fun to descend." Also, old avalanche debris. Made the decision to turn around at 2400' where we observed 2-3" powder sitting on a stout 2" crust over facets. Did not dig a pit but snow depth was 150 cm (n=3). Beautiful day...finally... with nice views of the avalanche activity off south aspects of Marmot.
