Quick report

Got out to lick creek to check out conditions and practice digging pits. The SW face was mostly scoured/melted. Winds were strong to extreme out of the west, calming around 1:30pm when snow started. Dug on an E slope at 8000' Height of snow 45cm Snow surface patches of wind blown snow and crust varying in strength over slope CTV RP 7cm down on .5-1mm facets below knife hard crust layer CT22 BRK 25 cm down on fist hard .5-1mm facets ECTN4 7cm down ECTN14 25cm down Depth hoar at the base was pencil hard
