Quick report

2-4" of recent snow exists below 9k with 5-8" in the upper elevations with larger amounts in wind drifted zones. New snow was low density and we observed very little wind effect or slab development in our travels. New snow was reactive in the form of dry loose and sloughing. The widespread crust on W-S-E aspects was productive to move snow quickly on very steep terrain over 35 degrees.

Broken cloud cover all day kept snow surfaces cool in upper and middle elevations (did not ride southerlies in the afternoon). Any zones that did not experience solar radiation from the sun today could shed and be reactive tomorrow. Clear skies are forecasted tomorrow morning before clouds build in the late afternoon. Plenty of snow available for transport. Wind was beginning to pick up in the high peaks as we drove away.
