- Wind Loading
Cold and windy up high. Wind blown snow was visible on the ridgetops from the valley this morning. On our trip up to the weather station we observed wind loading from winds out of the WSW. Deposition zones are looking fat and "pillowed". We also saw the monster debris pile in horse canyon and the wall to wall crown in Red Snow Cirque. We found a few wind slabs up high but no cracking or whumphing. Avalanche danger is decreasing but the massive avalanches that occurred during the storm can't be overlooked.
