Collapsing
widespread

40cm of new snow becoming slab on the ground at lower elevations. Above 8000', structure was facets at ground/ crust/ old slab (culprit in last week's cycle)/ rain crust/ 40-50cm new snow slabbing up pretty quickly. No sign of wind. Tree branch hoar widespread. Widespread collapsing and whumphing followed us up the ridge. Saw some cracks/ en echelon across the small gully to the north at 7300'. Saw evidence of old avalanching on Burbank Bowl.

Snowpack

HS ranged from half a meter of new on the ground at 7000' to 110cm at 9100'. Rain crust began to appear mid-pack at around 8000', then was consistent about 200' above that.
