Quick report
Traveled up SE Ridge with a few stops to assess different aspects. Hand shear tests on North facing aspects indicated a fairly reactive wind slab. SE and SW aspects seemed largely solid. Dug a quick pit and performed a column test near ridge on SW aspect. CTH (24) at ~50 cm. Minimal wind from NE, no significant snow moved. Saw some clouds rolling in around 11 a.m. Snow on S facing aspects was warm but no roller balls or other signs of wet avalanches as of 11:30 a.m.
Avalanche
NW aspect of Mt Bailey. Estimate size D2, estimate 100 feet across. Appeared to be within the past few days. Appeared to be natural but there were a lot of snowmobile tracks in the bowl so hard to say. Didn't venture into the bowl to observe more.
