2” new snow medium density over a firm frozen base. Minimal evidence of wind transport, no windslab observed. Weather forecast was fairly off— almost no wind until 11:30am, clear skies, no precip, air temp in the 20s with some slight solar effect on east aspects. Poor riding quality on steeper slopes, dust on crust. Low angle skiing ok. Would have benefitted from some wind transport. A little bit of sluff could be pushed in steep terrain but there just wasn’t enough snow to entrain. Not even any substantial cornicing or accumulation on the east aspect of the ridge. Beautiful day for walking in the mountains. Low danger.
