Quick report
- Great visibility allowed us to view surrounding terrain. We found a few recent slab avalanches since Friday's obs from this area, including a remotely triggered slide from yesterday (2/21). - Despite ample afternoon solar radiation, sunny aspects were not showing any significant signs of warming at mid-and upper-elevations at 4pm. A few tree bombs were starting to drop. - We stuck to lower angle terrain, with slope cuts on small features showing no signs of instability.

Snowpack
Snow was moist to approx. 1in below the surface from afternoon sunshine. 6500' / HS=290cm / S ECTN12 on storm interface. Two crusts (P) down 50cm and 70cm. The deeper crust (1cm) had laid down surface hoar (up to 8mm) + facets above it :o!
