Toured into Essex creek today to check stuff out. •Blowdown (quality over quantity) and alder fields for days. Cautiously optimistic to start the day. • Skied South and North aspects from 6000-4700’ …8-12” on a supportable, knife hard MF crust that is slick and hard to edge on steep terrain while skinning. •Numerous D3 debris fields on S/E paths from AR event. •Found some cross loaded features but no cracking or instability. •A busy wolverine was making tracks in most locations we traveled.
