Sky clear, temp. 39f, elevation 5600, east aspect, wind calm, ( but later in the day I observed ridge top winds moving snow), 30cm snow above EFC, 2cm un supportable sun crust, snow below was fist soft, a discontinuity showed itself at 25cm, was not very reactive, but formed a planer failure. (14 on column test) the boundary between the EFC and the “new” snow was not transformed as I have observed in other areas and was not reactive.
