Quick report
6-8 inches of new snow on Titus Ridge - felt like winter up there! A bit of wind effect on the ridge on the way up but did not see any real wind slabs. The storm snow wasn't well bonded to the slick crust beneath (see avy obs). Even without direct sunlight, there was enough solar radiation coming through the clouds to noticeably heat up the snow by noon. Snowing off an on up there while we were out on our tour but not accumulating.
Avalanche
Several D1 storm slabs, skier-triggered in steep (35+) north-facing terrain above 9000'. Triggered with ski cuts on top of one of the Titus Lake Chutes and on a steeper roll partway down the chutes. Slab was only 6-8" thick but ran on a slick crust and moved debris a couple hundred feet down the slope. The problem was manageable but you wouldn't want it to catch you off guard in the wrong spot.
