Quick report

Cornices are still large in a lot of areas in the range. No other signs of instability. Corn cycle on solars was about 11am in the core range. Snow froze every night which made the approach booting very easy in sneakers. Though the lower elevation snow started to melt by mid day. The snow in the core was healthy, while the low elevation terrain is melting quick. 10cm of dry snow on protected polars but open polars were heavily wind affected. Crossed Colchuck lake late in the day and still felt frozen and okay on skiis. Would not recommend booting across. Descent below colchuck was way easier to walk than to ski. Super patchy and hard to connect. Microspikes would not be a bad idea if traveling in sneakers. Ice climbers could probably get away without floatation if they time their travel.
