Travels in Upper Weber Canyon from 1000 through 1500 hour: rain was observed to have fallen at all observed elevations (up to 9700'), but yielded to snowfall at some point last night. That being said, this was not the case below 7900', where no new snow was observed, and rain must have persisted (see attached photo of snow line on north facing Weber Canyon - pretty). Up higher, super dense snow was making its mark - from toppling trees with its new weight, to dampening the acoustics of the range. A snow profile shows a familiar pattern for the 25/26 season: another crust or two, some incremental loading, and weak snow near the ground. That being said, one notable change was that the Christmas Eve Crust was observed to have faceting snow above it - something to continue to monitor.

Measured snow at 8700' contained .7" of water with 3.5" of new snow.
