Quick report
Hard to say how much it actually snowed in the Teanaway with all the wind throwing the low density snow around with no consistent direction. New snow ranged from an inch and all the way to 18” in areas. Went up to south ingalls peak. Last quarter up the face was very wind scoured and wind board. It was incredibly windy at the peak and made it challenging transitioning. The other three quarters rode great with the new snow. Winds were not bad below 7400k, but the occasional hard gust. On the way back on ingalls pass on south aspect near the top of the saddle experienced a loud whomp. Triggered an avalanche on the way back to the trailhead in a small section above trees. Observed some small 1-2’ wide natural avalanches that did not go all the way down the face, only a couple feet down on the way back that weren’t there on our way up.

Triggered an avalanche on south aspect around 5500’. Got swooped off my feet, but did not get carried. Crown was about a foot and the face was about 100’ wide. This slope has had sun exposure all day and it was 1:30pm when it slide.
