- Red Flags Comment
- <p>I was not finding any red flags in my travels today. The winds were generally light from the east northeast and was not moving any snow around. The recent new snow has seemed to settle out and the wet snow issues did not get too much of a problem while I was out this afternoon. Maybe some isolated wind slabs in more exposed terrain, but overall I did not observe any problems today. </p>
The snow cover is amazing right now and the recent snow has made for some great spring conditions. There was nice cold snow this morning that held up for most of the day before things got a little damp, but not too bad. The light east northeast wind helped keep the lid on a lot of wet snow issues.
There was some old natural avalanche activity or possibly human triggered slide on the north side of Moffit Peak. It was interesting to take a look and see how either the snow coming down from up above or a sled track triggered a small piece of really weak snow on the debris pile.

- <p>The first big warm up for the new snow might create some wet snow issues for the low and mid elevation areas. The Uintas seem to lag behind with wet snow problems from what they see along the Wasatch Front. </p>
These spring storms the last couple weeks have really been good to the north slope, the coverage is amazing and todays riding was very good. There was maybe 3" from yesterdays showery weather and it seemed like about 18-24" has accumulated in the Whitney area.
