There is still a mixed bag of conditions to be found in the mountains. The corn is becoming more widespread, however there is still plenty of melt freeze crust to be found. If your lucky you may still stumble across some velvety soft snow in sheltered areas that never see the sun. Around 1:00 seemed to be the magic hour for good corn on upper elevation southerly aspects.
