Collapsing
isolated

Overall a very hard snowpack with a sun crust. Top layer is the loosest and facited (F) 15 cm down, followed by a pure ice layer(K) @16-17 cm, @18-26 cm is a dense snowpack (1F), @27 cm is another hard, icy layer (K). @ 28-40 cm is back to dense snow (1F), @ 41 it's weaker (4F) and 42-65 base is all firm snowpack (1F). The top layer collapse during isolation (CTV) the ice layer collapse onto the layer below it with little pressure SLOWLY (CT7)(Q2) below the ice layer there was no failure (CTN) Isolated collapsing underfoot is common as you punch through the ice layer Ambient was 21°F Above the ice layer was 17° F Below the ice layer was 15°F Base of snowpack was
