Quick report
The cornices were surprisingly large for the location. I would expect east facing aspects higher up (e.g., ridge leading to SE bowl of TFJ) to have considerable cornices as well. Winds on Sat were ~40-50mph at times. Very little evidence of instability. Large cornices on the easterly aspects of Hogg, and a bit of debris from shedding off the steep rocks / cliffs above.

The Pass had clear conditions last WE/TH/FR, leading to a melt crust ~25cm down. Then strong winds on Sat, followed by calm and snow on Sun.
Snowpack
Dug a full (220cm) pit, largely for snow density work. 25cm of new snow (Sunday) overlying some sun crust from late last week. CT tests showed very little to be concerned about. RP failures in a few places in the upper 30cm. Didn't bother with ECT given the lack of reactivity. I did a PST at about 70cm down along an obvious interface between new and old snow, but no result.
