Observation: Steam Mill

At times snowfall was very heavy. Our skintrack was mostly filling in between some laps. Several handpits showed snow from the most recent storm ranging from 30-55cm at various places in the Steam mill area ~8800 ft. We actually found more stable conditions than I was anticipating. The interface between the storm snow and the new snow was fairly damp and seemed to be bonding fairly well. The only obvious signs of instability we witnessed was some cracking on kick turns on an interface a few inches down in the storm snow.
