Quick report

Traveled up to 10,253ft in the Lakes Basin. Snow was quite moist the whole way up, even on sheltered northerlies. Clouds increased to thicker overcast skies in the afternoon with some green-housing occurring. Got to plateau well below the Sister Chutes. No signs of instability throughout tour. We did note rollerballs on steeper sections of our ascent. Snow had signs of previous wind affect in all open terrain up there. - Dug into snow to find - HS 200cm - CT24 RP down 12cm on density change - Intermittent slush layer down 68cm - CT27 SP down 128cm on 2mm striated facets (layer was 25cm deep of very junk snow) - Overall pit was increasing in hardness with a very thin, knife hard layer above the facets. - We got an air temp of 41degrees F at 1:30pm - Wouldn't say the skiing down was amazing but we were not punching in very deep with skis and could link turns in the schmoo
