Inbounds tour at Silver Fir. Left parking lot at 7:45 a.m. Thirty degrees F and snowing lightly with light winds. Ski penetration of 4-5 inches. Snow intensity increased to moderate and winds built throughout the morning. Significant snow accumulation and wind transport. Uptrack filled in before second lap. Didn't dig any pits but snow seemed stable to start. Throughout the morning as wind transport occurred, upper layer of recent storm snow stiffened and started to exhibit signs of cohesion and cracking. No shooting cracks.
