Quick report

11:30am - 8pm tour to 9.6K’ up Triangle Moraine, sub-ridge feature ski across upper WRG to 9K’, bootpack to 9.7K under Steel Cliff, fun, stable (beyond turn bits) chute ski and back across WRG (staying above partially covered crevasse) back out to Timberline. To start, weather was mix of sun and quickly building & abating whiteout-ish clouds w consistent lower clouds. Second half clearer up high, but mild/mod NW windy. Tied up loose ends w regards to “9.6K’ camp debris commitment” I could find as well as full “Steely White Chute”(for lack of actual name) exit I had planned to end Newton Clark (mistake) day. Attempted to warn non-sharps-equipped (beyond microspikes) hiker about traverse to Devils Kitchen, but failed. Kept eye on him as long as I could, but my own timing became a concern.
