Quick report
Skied northeast and southwest facing terrain. Dug a quick pit on a north aspect found a grauple and dirt layer 80cm deep. This layer was hard to trigger with a ECT test and didn’t propagate. Didn’t see any signs of instability, felt safe stepping into steeper terrain. Did have some roller balls and trees shedding later in the day. Sun crust developed late in the day on southwest aspect.
Avalanche
Recent natural size D-2 avalanche on a southeast aspect. Observed from across the ridge. Look about 100ft across and 8-12” deep.
