Dug pit at NW aspect, 5719ft, 30 deg slope. 120cm column, CTE-4 at 50cm from surface (70cm above dirt)--this was unexpectedly above the crust down at 70cm (50cm above dirt). Guess the Friday snow did not bond well with the Thursday fall. 4F facets down below the crust reaching only 1F within 20cm of dirt. Lots of people out and about for a reactive snowpack.
