Glassing the Lake Creek peaks via telescope at 8 am this morning and did not observe any overnight activity. Around 2pm today, I noticed a debris pile in one of the central chutes so took the telescope out again to take a closer look. The avalanche appears to be the result of wind loading the leeward side of the ridge and releasing down to faceted snow near the ground.
